Nights are drawing in, temperatures are dropping and the winter layers are making a return. It must mean that it’s that spooOOOoookkkyyy time of year again! 

And what better way to celebrate Halloween, than with an afternoon of Trick or Treating? This year, businesses up and down Harborne High Street have agreed to participate in a High Street wide ‘Trick or Treating’ trail! They will be opening their doors to greet Harborne’s little ones with more spooky treats than they could dream of… so if you’re planning on going Trick or Treating this Halloween, why not swing by Harborne High Street and get hunting down the treats! Anyone wearing spooky fancy dress is welcome! Read below to see what shops and cafes are taking part…

If you are wanting to plan out your Trick or Treating route then follow our trail of businesses. There are plenty of stores here providing treats to satisfy alllll those sweet teeth!

If your little one is planning to go all out on their fancy dress then make sure you pop by Max Spielmann (9am – 5:30pm / 119 High Street). The lovely lot there will be offering a free picture and print for anyone in fancy dress for you to take home! 

Osborne Stationers (9am – 5:30pm / 142 High Street) are offering a free Halloween plaque with any Halloween purchase! They are stocked up with lots of face paints and decorations, so definitely worth stopping by!

We know that Halloween is mainly aimed at our young un’s, but the generous staff at Harborne Spa & Clinic (10am – 8pm / 8 South Street) will be giving away goodies for the parents too. For all the grown-ups they will be handing out mini Dermalogica samples – the best kind of treat! 

If creativity isn’t your forte but your little monster want their face painted from, head down to Costa Coffee between 1PM – 3PM (101 High Street)! Along with some scary cake bites they will also be hosting free face painting funded by the Harborne Village BID.

And then as a VERY special treat, you could finish off our ‘Trick or Treat’ trail at the newly refurbished Brewers Social (9am – 11pm / 77 High Street) and enjoy a spooky performance or two from fabulous storyteller Pyn Stockman! Pyn will be performing 25-minute stories from 4pm – 6pm. Journey deep into forests filled with talking skulls and the threads of spider webs… meet magical horses and defeat terrible witches in this quest for light! Whilst you’re there you can also enjoy a locally brewed pint while your little one tucks into a special Halloween themed soft-serve ice cream – if they haven’t eaten all their sweets by then! Brewers Social will be offering their soft serve for only £1 on Halloween for anyone in fancy dress.
