HVBID: Amazing! And how about your Harborne project, would you be able to tell us about it?

Absolutely. The project involves converting and remodelling a set of former commercial properties into five beautiful, traditionally styled homes, each one spacious, with private gardens and parking to the rear.

It’s a rare opportunity to bring high-quality housing to such a central and sought-after location, just steps away from local favourites like The Plough. Beyond that, it’s been incredibly rewarding to transform what was once an abandoned site into something the whole community can be proud of. This project is as much about creating homes as it is about breathing new life into the street itself.

HVBID: And what impact will this have on our high street?

The development brings more than just five new homes, it adds energy, purpose, and long-term value to Harborne High Street. By turning a previously unused and rundown site into attractive residential homes, we’re helping to revitalise a key part of the area. New homes mean new residents, and that naturally brings more activity, support for local businesses, and a stronger sense of community.

The homes themselves have been designed to sit comfortably within the character of the high street, so they feel like a natural extension of the area, not a disruption to it. It’s a positive change that complements the existing charm of Harborne, while also bringing a modern element to its future.

HVBID: Harborne is definitely interested in the build, what would you say to get them excited about it?!

Harborne already has so much character and appeal, and this project is about adding to that in a meaningful way. It’s exciting to see investment being made in the area that respects its heritage while also looking to the future. These homes will bring new neighbours, new energy, and new opportunities for the high street to thrive, and we’re thrilled to be playing a part in that.

HVBID: We can’t wait to see the results, what a prize these houses will be! One last final question: How are the team enjoying Harborne?

Harborne has such a welcoming and vibrant community feel—it’s been a pleasure working here. We’ve delivered a number of projects in and around the area over the years, and it’s always a joy to contribute to the neighbourhood in a meaningful way.

Since starting this latest development, the team has really embraced everything Harborne has to offer. Our Marketing Manager Amy has taken her little one to the 'new' Little High Street, our team have also become regular diners at The Plough, and we’re constantly supporting local businesses through our day-to-day work. Being based on the high street means we’re part of the rhythm of the area, and we love playing an active role in that.
