The Jubilee weekend is fast approaching, so here are some of our highlights for a fun 4 days ahead in Harborne!
Head to Drunken Tiger on Friday 3rd June, where they’ll be serving delicious mutton or vegetable Caribbean curries, along with their signature rum punch for just £10pp! And it’s not a Bank Holiday without happy hour, available between 6pm-7.30pm.
Harborne Stores are definitely ready for the occasion – their gin of the month is the Whitley Neill Platinum Jubilee Gin, for starters! They will also be hosting a Jubilee Bottomless Brunch between Thursday and Sunday. For more of their long weekend action, keep an eye on their Facebook page.
Hop Garden’s schedule is also looking exciting; on Friday, they’ll have a DJ set from The Beat Forum, followed by a live band and Jubilee concert on Saturday then The Big Lunch (BYO picnic) on Sunday! Papa’s Pizza will be bringing the food to both Friday and Saturday too.
Slug and Lettuce
Harborne’s newly refurbished Slug and Lettuce will have brunch fit for a queen between 2nd-5th June, with a limited edition drinks upgrade for the Jubilee, including Bloom gin and Fentiman’s rose lemonade!
Barefoot In The Head DJ sessions are BACK after two years with a celebratory night at The Plough on Thursday 2nd June; expect chilled disco, Latin and boogie vinyl grooves. Plus, their 2 pizzas with a bottle of wine or 2 steins of Hofmeister for £40 deal will be on!
There’ll be live music at New Inn too, with Rich Keogh playing on Thursday 2nd June! Stay up to date on their Facebook page for all the weekend’s happenings.
If you’re hosting your own street or garden party, M&S have you covered with the essentials! You can preorder sandwich platters online, and complement these with their prosecco and champagne deals.
These are just a few ideas on how to celebrate the Jubilee in style right here in Harborne, but to find out what we have been up to, check out this blog, and make sure you’re following us on social media!
