HARBORNE VILLAGE BID SUPPORTS ‘BULLS IN THE CITY’ ART TRAIL FROM WILD IN ART AND BIRMINGHAM HOSPICE.

June 20, 2025

Harborne Village BID is thrilled to join the city-wide ‘Bulls in the City’ art trail from Wild in Art and Birmingham Hospice this summer.

Harborne Village is sponsoring a sculpture as well as supporting the sponsorship of sculptures from Waitrose and charity superstore Reloved Brum, bringing four Bull sculptures to the high street as part of the 40-strong herd that will charge into Birmingham from July 16 to September 14!

Alongside the bull sculptures a number of local schools and groups will also be getting involved by exhibiting smaller calf sculptures for visitors and residents to enjoy.

The BID’s support of the trail is a display of their commitment to drive footfall to the high street, engage the local community and businesses and is demonstrative of the growth of the suburb in recent years. Kate Smart, Harborne’s BID Manager said:

“We are delighted to be joining the Bulls in the City trail and having four incredible bull statues in Harborne! Our local businesses and the community are ready to come together to celebrate the trail, welcoming new faces to our suburb. Harborne Village will be doing it’s all to embrace the trail this summer and raise awareness for a great cause.”

Harborne’s sculpture is currently being painted by Nottingham based artist Rebecca Grantham, whose bold and bright design is set to add even more colour to the vibrant suburb over the summer.

Rebecca Richards, Senior Fundraising Project Manager at Birmingham Hospice, said: “It’s brilliant to have the support of a fantastic local BID like Harborne.

“The BID team are really passionate about bringing Bulls in the City to its community and we’re grateful they’re not only providing homes on the trail for four of our sculptures, but also supporting Birmingham Hospice in its mission to provide end of life care for those who need it.”

Wild in Art are creative producers of innovative public art trails that take place across the UK. The ‘Bulls in the City’ trail will see Wild in Art return to Birmingham after their successful The Big Sleuth trail in 2017, with this year’s trail supporting Birmingham Hospice and raising funds when the sculptures are auctioned after the trail. To find out more visit www.bullsinthecity.co.uk
