Brunch Spots in Harborne

This April is National Brunch month!

Going for brunch has been one of our favourite pastimes over the last few years, especially in Harborne with some of the brilliant brunch spots! Whether you want a midweek treat with a hot drink, or go all out at the weekend with bottomless brunch, here are some lovely places we recommend:

 

Arco Lounge

The much-loved Harborne location is Arco Lounge, known for their expansive menu and laid back environment, it’s the perfect go-to for even the pickiest friend or family member! We particularly love the veggie breakfasts, as well as their buttermilk pancakes and shakshuka!

 

Boston Tea Party

BTP is a staple to start off your day, but their brunch options are served all day if you prefer! There’s no shortage of choices for every taste, including the boss breakfast with all your fry-up faves, or why not try a little something from their new Spring menu, including their Smoked Salmon Hash, Quesadillas, House Salad and more!

 

Barsana

The vegan and vegetarian Indian restaurant offers Afternoon High Chai from 2pm – 5pm! Choose from a menu that includes Grilled Sandwiches, Sev Puri, Paneer Pakoras or Harabhara Kebabs and more all served with Masala Chai (brewed in house) or a pot of tea from the restaurant’s expansive collection.

 

Cafe Express

Café Express is the spot for all your classic, no fuss breakfast and brunch options! No smashed avocado here, just good old fashioned fry-ups, hot sandwiches and paninis as well as vegetarian options and a children’s menu! Breakfast is also served all day, so you can stop by anytime!

 

Coffee Tales

The independent coffee shop has plenty to offer on its brunch menu, from simple plates of toasts to brunchier fare including veggie breakfast, pancakes, avocado on toast, toasties and wraps. All this AND they also have pastries and slices of homemade cake on offer every day for those looking for a sweet treat.

 

Damascena

A brunch staple on the high street! Damascena has amazing brunch options inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. From simple dishes like a falafel bowl and juz-muz to sandwiches and wraps to their warming fuuls and meze platters, every dish is bursting with flavour! It’s no wonder it’s a high street favourite.

 

El Buen Gusto

The neighbourhood Spanish restaurant offers lunch from 12pm – 5pm, Tuesday – Friday, where you can order a selection of delicious snacks or a tapas platter. Tapas options can be from the farm, orchard or sea and are served alongside pickled chillies, padron peppers, a house salad and patatas bravas!

 

The Bell

The pub on Old Church road, serves both breakfast and light lunches, making it a lovely brunch spot, especially if you’re looking for a more casual dining experience and a drink or two with your meal! Choose from simple breakfast dishes like an English Breakfast or Bacon Sandwich or try one of The Bell’s focaccia sandwiches – all served with salad and skin-on fries!

From April 1st – 14th, The Bell is also treating little ones too, with a Kids Eat For £1 deal! You can grab a kids ‘Meal & Pud’ from their kids’ menu for just £1 with every full-paying adult meal. All you need to do is let their friendly team know you’d like to use the offer before placing your order.

 

The Plough

The Plough have recently announced that you can get free filter coffee and refills with all brunch dishes, and you can get 2 for 1 if you are an NHS and Blue Light Card holder. Their brunch options include homemade blueberry pancakes and pulled pork benedict.

 

Paul at No 41

This cafe’s breakfasts have been called one of the best in Birmingham, and when you try it, you’ll understand why! They use locally sourced produce where possible, for their tasty dishes including a traditional breakfast and scrambled tofu.
