Thank you SO much to everyone that came along and joined us for a family fun day out at Harborne Green Village Fete on Sunday 12th September! We wish we could do it every Sunday, but since we can’t, we thought we’d share a little recap of the day.

Have you spotted yourself in our Fete video yet? Click here to view the video. We’re also delighted to share these lovely images – we hope you enjoy them! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for even more snaps from our fantastic fete photographer, Thom Bartley.

Despite the weather turning a little drizzly towards the end of the afternoon, the turnout was incredible and it was so beautiful to see our community back together after such a tumultuous 18 months or so. Thank you for being respectful of one another and celebrating as safely as possible.

James Gordon on Facebook said, “Great event, was very busy but felt more relaxed and a greater range of things to do than the carnival. Well done to all those involved.”

Kate Smart, BID Manager refelcted, “As a new event, we really didn’t know what to expect. We wanted an event to bring the businesses and community together.  At one point during the Fete I stopped and looked around me and started grinning as I saw our vision of happy people turning out to support each other and have fun together – an absolute joy”

There’s no doubt it was destined to be a fantastic day, but the event really could not have happened without the hard work of everyone involved. A special shout out and a thank you goes to each and every person working tirelessly behind the scenes in the run up to the big day, and of course on the day itself. Thank you!

Thank you to our performers and all of the businesses involved. You well and truly brought your all to Harborne Green Village Fete and helped us make it a day to remember. This is the first event of its kind here in our corner of Birmingham, and hopefully it won’t be the last! We hope you enjoyed the green eco theme at the heart of the event – something fun, something different, and something so very important. Hopefully there was plenty to take away from the day as individuals and as a community to help us do our bit for the planet.
