To commemorate the Commonwealth Games coming to Birmingham this month, we have launched a brand new competition with local schools!

After the success of our Platinum Portraits competition during the Jubilee weekend, we’ve invited Chad Vale, Harborne, St Mary’s and St Peter’s primary schools to create sporting pictures.

Entries will also be in with the chance of winning a Perry mascot!

You’ll be able to find their artwork at Harborne Pool & Fitness and Waitrose, between Monday 18th July and Monday 15th August.

We are so grateful for all their effort in helping us decorate the High Street in time for this once-in-a-lifetime event to come to our city!

As well as our Commonwealth Games portraits, we’ll have our very own “Screen on the Green” showing the opening and closing ceremonies, plus other events from the Games. Read more about what we have planned here, and don’t forget to check out our Facebook event.

Make sure you stay up to date on our social media too, for more details about how we’re marking the Commonwealth Games in Harborne.
