World Mental Health Day is a global day for mental health education, awareness and advocacy against the social stigma. Thursday 10th of October is a day for celebrating the global community that this campaign (started in 1992) has created. By raising awareness of this campaign we help to create a unifying voice that supports people to feel hopeful, empowered and to take action to create a lasting change.

Here in Harborne we have plenty of businesses that can help to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Read on to find out more about some businesses right on your doorstep…

Yoga is said to increase body awareness, relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, sharpen attention and calm and centre the nervous system. It has also been proven to have many positive benefits on mental health. If this is something you would be interested in, we’re very lucky to have a wonderful Barefoot Birmingham studio in Harborne (7 High Street). Barefoot offer lots of different yoga classes and styles, all classes can be found on their website here. They also are running a welcome offer for new members, £30 for 30 days of unlimited classes.
