Harborne Village BID is proud to sponsor and support Arts:)Mile Festival 2019

Harborne’s own special arts festival, Arts:)Mile returns for its seventh exciting year!

Brought to you by local artists and ARTSCOOP.

Arts:)Mile is a completely free afternoon of arts and crafts activities taking over 20 different venues across Harborne High Street. A creative way to spend your Saturday!

Over the years, Artsmile has involved many great arts fusions including; doll-making in vintage furniture shops, photography in opticians, painting windows in pubs, embellishing chairs in pizzerias, storytelling in cafes, sculpture-making in restaurants, youth quartets outside coffee house… to name but a few.

The day will begin with a soft opening at 11.30am by local councillor Jayne Francis – Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture with a rousing performance from Midland Opera.

You are invited to stroll up and down the high street and dip into participating venues. (Each venue will have a sign outside – full map and listing of all the workshops happening will be at the bottom of this blog post).

Below are bio’s of some of the artists to give you a taste of who will be part of the amazing Arts:)mile.

Remember this event is completely FREE and no booking is required. See you Saturday for an entire mile of smiles!

Kate Smart, Harborne Village BID Manager says:

“The BID is delighted to be supporting Artsmile 2019. This long established annual activity has become part of the Harborne diary and it provides such a fun opportunity for people to get creative in unusual settings. The tricky part is having to choose what to do!”

*VENUE CHANGE – Artist at Sadler’s Brewing Co (N0.15) will now be at The Paper Duck (115 High Street) *
